Interactive Services Delivery Platform
|
|
IM.Meltemi® is a Service Delivery Platform that consolidates and innovates traditional communication services solutions by seamlessly delivering :
- multimodal services (e.g. voice to command the system, video to get information);
- multichannel services (including voice, video, fax, email, SMS, MMS).
Aimed at being the basic toolkit to build communications solutions and interactive applications, Meltemi is implemented using hw/sw standard platforms suitable for enterprise and carrier-grade installations. It’s a multi-node, multi-site platform for applications using different media and different devices (wired and mobile phone, PC, media phone), even simultaneously.
Meltemi features a powerful graphical development tool (IM.SCE, Service Creation Environment) and also runs VoiceXML and CCXML developed services.
Through the combination of several modules geared to specific functions, IM.Meltemi® SDP builds integrated customer care solutions for proactive, automated, and assisted services.
Features
IM.Meltemi® is a multi-service and multi-channel platform with integrated interface components towards communication networks and computer systems, directly available within the IM.SCE. Supporting fixed and mobile network technologies, IM.Meltemi® is compliant with new network architectures like IMS and NGN.
Our platform allows the creation of sophisticated but flexible solutions. Its modular and scalable architecture integrates the necessary components for different applications (e.g. Media Gateway, Value Added Services, Recording).

IM.Meltemi Service Creation Environment (IM.SCE) is a development environment providing basic functions and transition rules to build interactive services for voice and video applications running on mobile and wired telephones. A voice/video interaction is made up of several simple steps, named Service Independent Building Block (SIB). A SIB may be, for example, a message play, a question and the wait for the related answer, a message play and the sending of a fax, SMS or MMS, etc. Each SIB features a sequence of steps (actions), the possibility to assign values to parameters, connectivity to other SIB depending on the resulting events according to the defined transition rules. Building an interactive service with IM.SCE means to:
- create the list of SIB, starting from the basic ones, to include all the steps required by the specific application;
- specialize each SIB with its values, for example the messages to be played, the telephone number to transfer the call, etc.;
- define the transition rules from one SIB to another.
The service created by IM.SCE runs on IM.Meltemi platform, also as VXML for the application logic and CCXML for call control.
